Success at the Yorkshire and Humberside Orienteering Association Schools’ Orienteering Championships

Success at the Yorkshire and Humberside Orienteering Association Schools' Orienteering Championships on Saturday 2nd July 2016 at Farnley Tyas, Huddersfield - Daniel Metcalfe, Dan & Will Brennan, James Marsden and Seth Barraclough won the trophy for best Secondary School. Seth Barraclough 2nd place in Year 6 boys. The children had to navigate around a course whilst running, using an electronic memory device and a map. Everyone is encouraged to have a go at orienteering; in the Summer there are events in parks - www.xplorer.org.uk and starting in September we have the East Pennine Orienteering Club schools' league which the children can all enter www.eastpennineoc.org.uk The results of the trial league this year are; on the East Pennine Orienteering Club website - Seth Barraclough joint 3rd place.
