FRIENDS OF KIRKBURTON MIDDLE SCHOOL

All parents are automatically members of the Friends Association, who support the school by fundraising, assisting with school functions and organising social events for children, parents and families.

The Friends aim to extend and strengthen the relationships between all associated with the school and to engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of its pupils.

All new parents are warmly invited to involve themselves in the activities of the Association. The committee is elected annually at the Annual General Meeting in October.

In addition, many parents help us in a variety of ways, such as hearing children read in school, environmental work and accompanying school outings. We are always extremely grateful for such help and involvement.

Events and Fund Raising activities held during the past year include a Bingo and Beetle Evening for children, a very successful Christmas Fair, Line Dancing and Pilates. Events planned include a Handbag Sale, Fashion Show and a Summer Barbecue and Games Evening.
