History

The following SoL follows a thematic approach, looking at the theme of Conflict and Control. It covers major turning points in human history by focusing on the impact of war and Propaganda.

AutumnĀ

Pupils will study the turbulent events of 1066 and then the various methods of control used by Medieval Monarchs to control England. Pupils will study the methods used to keep law and order and contrast this to the modern day. They will study the development of Castles, the Feudal system and the creation of the Domesday book.

20th Century warfare and its impact on the homefront. Pupils will study both WWI

and WWII, how the government used Propaganda to manage the war effort.

 

Summer
