DESIGN TECHNOLOGY

Design Technology is a practical subject where pupils are taught to develop their design and technology capability. They have to combine designing and making skills, with knowledge and understanding in order to design and make products.

Pupils have to meet needs, generate a design, plan, make and then evaluate their work. The children start with a specific context and then work in the discrete areas of Food Technology, Textiles and Resistant and Compliant Materials.

New specialist areas for this work will be constructed during
2004-5.
